We will talk to Sanita Martena, professor and doctor of philology at the Rezekne Academy of Technologies, about the purpose and use of the modern Latgalian language text corpus (MuLa), as well as about the planned and future work in the next two years.
Sanita says that any language corpus, as well as this one, is a structured collection of texts and/or decoded speech recordings intended for linguistic analysis. It provides an opportunity for a variety of research, as well as promotes the study, preservation, and development of the language. MuLa is freely available online to anyone interested: http://www.korpuss.lv and http://hipilatlit.ru.lv.
